Throughout my studies, I have experienced it all. I have gone from complete despair and contemplating giving up the piano, to feeling elated each time I practiced and performed. I began to feel as though I was expressing my own voice through music and connecting with others through my playing. A significant part of this transformation came from the guidance and support of a teacher-mentor, who helped me learn how to balance my musical and personal selves, and led me to understand my musical aspirations. And this has allowed me to build a fulfilling professional career after my graduation.
